Large Wholesale Bakery is seeking a full-timeProduction Supervisor. This role is responsible for directing the production activities with an emphasis on product quality, on-time delivery, and production efficiency. This position reports directly to the Production Manager. Good people skills, ability to mentor staff, and develop employee growth.Job descriptionConsistent and punctual attendance each scheduled workday. Report to work fit for duty and sustains fitness throughout the day.Check and verify that the pre-p checklist has been completed.Train and develop Leads and Operators to maximize profitability and on-time delivery of high-quality products for the customers.Oversee and direct production personnel, leads and the employees on the shift.Responsible for adherence to food safety requirements pertaining toSQF,GMP and all other legal or legislative rules and / or regulations that applies.Overall administrative responsibility for the shift (such as performance reviews, downtime tracking, disciplinary actions, etc.).Accountable for shift production schedule, efficiency of plant, minimizing downtime and waste.Reviews production/operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing and maintenance issues in a timely manner.Develops, recommends and implements changes in working conditions to improve employee performance and product quality.Resolves workers issues and involve management if necessaryEncourage a team environment with all employees by showing them respect and valuing the opinion of employees.Prepares and presents production data to the Production Manager.Ensures that operator reporting is done in a timely mannerTakes responsibility for all activities in the absence of Senior Management.Ensures that all data collection is being captured by operators on the following categories: breakdowns, short stops, test time, defrost time, cleaning time, pieces per hour, etc.Responsible for all aspects of the line, packaging and ensures that all lines are running to standard.Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum of at least 1 experience in a similar role in the baking industry.
