Are you up for the dare?This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.Position SummaryAs Machinist C, you will be responsible for operating a CNC Okuma or Mazak machine, setting up the machine to specifications, and performing maintenance on the machine as needed. The Machinist C is also responsible for detecting malfunctions and adjusting machine controls as required. Here are some other primary job responsibilities for this position.Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece.Demonstrate basic CNC programming knowledge with Mastercam and or G code entry.Measures, marks, and scribes
dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining as necessary.Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures.RequirementsAssociates Degree or vocational certificate from technical school, two-year college, or Military equivalent.1+ years of experience writing code and operating a vertical CNC mill. Okuma or Mazak experience preferred.The approximate hourly pay this position is $35.03. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
