Join a productive, diverse group of fantastic scientists and perform impactful work every day.Job responsibilitiesPrepare cryovial lots for strain archivingPerform low and high-throughput nucleic acid extractionsDesign primers, and carry out and optimize PCRsPrepare electrocompetent cellsOperate and maintain equipment, including liquid handling platformsExecute work on lab equipment and at the bench to assist fellow scientistsUse a custom LIMS system to record all work executed, track samples and process dataMaintain good records of equipment maintenance, operation and failureWrite and maintain pertinent SOPs and JSAsContribute to a knowledge-sharing, positive, safe and inclusive work environmentJob requirementsBachelor's degree in a biological fieldExperience working in and maintaining a sterile environmentExperience preparing cryovial lots preferredFamiliarity with and technical understanding of molecular biology and microbiology techniques (experience preferred)Previous experience running liquid handlers a plusAbility to comfortably operate in a fast-paced environmentInterest in learning new thingsPassion for getting work done and assisting othersTeam player attitudeGreat attention to detailThorough, precise, creative and reliableGrowth mindsetExcited about this role but don't meet every requirement listed?
