Position Summary:

Voya is seeking a ServiceNow Solutions Architect to join the ITSM team. This individual must be a self-starter, extremely customer focus and pay close attention to detail. This candidate must enjoy working in a fast paced and complex environment. Demonstrated communication, problem solving and resource management skills are a must.
The Architect is responsible for assisting the ServiceNow platform owner establish and maintaining a roadmap for the suite of ServiceNow applications. Additionally, the Architect will help the ServiceNow team delivery capabilities and enhancements in support of the roadmap deliverables. The candidate will have an extensive knowledge of the workings of ServiceNow including familiarity with the various suites ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, ITAM & Integrated Risk as well as core platform capabilities such as CMDB (including discovery), Flow Designer, Service Catalog, Service Level Management and Performance Analytics. The Senior Solution Architect is responsible for establishing solutions to address business needs using the ServiceNow tool including via integrations with external systems. The resource will collaborate with Infrastructure, Architecture, IT Security and Application support teams while develop solutions and provide support to the ServiceNow developers who execute build and deployments.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical and architectural guidance to ServiceNow software developers, including promoting adherence to analysis, design, and development standards and methodologies.
  • Conceive, design, develop and deploy architectural requirements related to the ServiceNow platform.
  • Document and communicate architectural requirements for distributed as well as on and off premises Cloud environments.
  • Design and implement IT interfaces to and from ServiceNow and ensure alignment and compatibility throughout each application and across related applications.
  • Take the lead in researching and recommending architectural standards.
  • Works with LOB IT areas to determine how enterprise infrastructure will optimally meet business needs, while promoting adherence to analysis, design, and development standards and methodologies.
  • Optimize the technical performance of an infrastructure development environment, including network, database, and application server performance.
  • Develop procedures that ensure proper migration of upgrades and enhancements throughout lower environments and production.
  • Develops or modifies as well as leads others through the processes to resolve complex business issues, considering computer capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results; includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of business requirements and translation of business requirements into functional requirements.
  • Develops detailed application, product, and/or tool selection evaluation criteria based on identified product requirements; assists in the development of business and functional requirements for complex issues.
  • Uses comparative analysis techniques to evaluate and recommend overall IT solutions for client/organization. Provides senior level consulting services to internal business groups and peers on process improvement projects designed to improve business and IT results.
  • Supports build and test planning phases for medium to large scope enhancements and projects.
  • Supports project manager/release manager by developing detailed project information such as high level solution designs, estimates, evaluation criteria and results, etc.


Knowledge & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, computer science, information systems or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience as a ServiceNow developer or ServiceNow Solutions Architect.
  • 3+ years of IT experience with direct responsibility for strategy formulation and/or translation, application development or program management.

  • Demonstrated expertise in managing medium to large-size projects

  • Comfortable operating in a virtual environment with geographically dispersed teams

  • Strong consultative skills at a cross functional level.
  • Proficient in mapping of business processes to user and functional need
  • Working knowledge of business processes, system development, process improvements and change management
  • Experience with the full software development life cycle
  • Ability to establish relationships with employees at all levels of the company
  • Excellent written, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • ITIL Certification a plus, not a requirement


Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$139,110 - $173,890 USD
