This position will be full-time and onsite.What You’ll DoAdministers medications and treatments in accordance with all accepted standards for administrationProvides safe, efficient personal care of residentsUses recommended safety devices and follows infection control standardsAnswers call lights and residents' requests for assistanceAdheres to resident's rights at all timesDocuments medications and treatments administered, and care provided;Assists with orientation of new employees on the unitParticipates in resident care planning, updating care plans and aide assignmentsAssesses residents, documents findings and reports to the physician; Transcribes physicians ordersCommunicates resident change of condition to resident sponsorsDestroys and documents same of discontinued medicationsMaintains correct controlled substance numbers during shiftCompletes required documentation of nursing notes, transfer forms and other recordsAssists with operation of the unit, including the monthly change over of recordsCompletes and distributes nurse aide assignmentsGives report to on-coming shiftSchedule and assist with physician, optometrist, podiatrist, dentist appointmentsAdminister and record employee health testing resultsWhat You'll NeedRequired:Indiana Professional License or License from an NLC participating state required at time of submissionProficiency in computer skills and ability to learn other programs used in maintaining electronic medical recordsHands On - American Heart Association CPR and BLS Certification requiredDementia 6 hour certification is required prior to startLTC experience requiredPreferred:EMR, Matrix Care experience preferredExperience with Memory CareExperience with short-term rehabPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standardsSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor Reasonable Accommodation StatementIf you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 – 8111.Equal Employment Opportunity Policy StatementIt is the policy of CAI not to discriminate against any employee or applicant due to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, disability or being a protected veteran.
