Job Description Warehouse Supervisor - Southport, NCThis is a Salary Exempt position.Description:The Warehouse Supervisor leads all aspects of MRO inventory warehouse
and lay down yard operations, which includes safe operations, receiving, stocking, issuing, cycle counting, parts repair and deliveries, and GMP adherence.
In addition, this role will facilitate new item requests, Equipment Bill of Material (BOM) revisions, stock additions to the storeroom and rental equipment management.Job Summary:Provides direct daily supervision to ensure efficient operation of warehouse and laydown yard activitiesReviews and maintains accuracy of equipment BOMsManages rental equipment such as UTVs, Cranes, Trucks and other equipment used during the day to day Maintenance Operations.Implement processes and systems to ensure that warehouse is following best practices throughout multiple disciplinesMaintain high levels of customer service and satisfactionPlan, organize, and prioritize time to meet tasks and deadlinesMentor, engage and provide guidance as necessary to employeesProvide recommendations to management on initiatives to improve warehouse operationsReview current SOPs / Guidelines and modify as necessary to eliminate inefficiencies in normal operations of the warehouseAdditional required skills:Safety focusedGood communication skillsTeam PlayerSelf-disciplined - Able to administer supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the ADM ValuesProfessionalism in interactions with staff and internal/external customersProven experience in inventory control and warehouse operationsAbility to supervise and coach employees to foster growth and developmentStrong attention to detail.Able to problem solve when issues arise or can anticipate problems before they occur3+ years of work experience in warehousing, inventory control, and using Maximo EAM softwareAt least 1 year of work experience as a lead person or supervisorReceptive to learning new tasks as directedWorking Conditions:Inside areas:Spring / Summer: Temperatures in some areas of the facility will be up to or exceed 100 degreesFall / Winter: Temperatures in the facility may be at or below freezingOutside areas:Spring / Summer: Outside temperature may be up to or exceed 100 degrees with potential for high humidity; may be exposed to inclement weather conditions including, but not limited to, rain and windFall / Winter: Outside temperatures may reach freezing or below; may be exposed to inclement weather including, freezing rain, sleet, snow, and windPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to thirty (30) pounds on a frequent basis, up to fifty (50) pounds on an occasional basisLifting or carrying of weights over fifty (50) pounds is rare; employees are encouraged to request assistance in lifting or carrying objects that weigh more than fifty (50) poundsAbility to traverse up to two (2) miles during the course of a work dayAbility to move about or to a work site by stooping, bending, kneeling, or squatting frequently during the course of a work day; may require periods of prolonged sitting or standingExcited about this role but don't meet every requirement listed?
