Fresh Baguette is a fast-growing, artisanal bakery known for its high-quality standards and modern atmosphere. The company was founded in Bethesda, MD in 2013, to bring fresh, made-from-scratch organic breads, pastries, sweets, and croissant items inspired by bakeries in France  to the DMV area. We have expanded to seven retail locations, two production bakeries, and a thriving wholesale business. We serve coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores with fresh products every day, 365 days a year . Our mission is to offer our customers unique moments of indulgence that are delicious to every sense. We are looking for a passionate Full-Time Pastry Assistant to assist our head pastry chef in creating the finest French pastries for our customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of our ever-growing bakery 

You will receive training from our professional chefs who know the ins and outs of handcrafting quality French pastries.

Pay depending on experience and qualifications: $17.15 - $19.00 per hour

Schedule

  • Open flexibility to work Monday-Sunday between 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
  • Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • 5 Days a Week including weekends
  • 8 hour shifts
Requirements

  • Located in the US at the time of application with current authorization to work in the US
  • Reliable transportation to work
  • Intermediate to Native/Bilingual proficiency in English
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for 8 hour shifts in a fast paced environment
  • Must have kitchen experience in a hotel or restaurant for a minimum of 3 years

Working Environment
  • Working in an industrial, food production and distribution bakery with high food safety and sanitation standards
  • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures

  • Fast-paced team environment creating hundreds of pastry-related products a day
