Ophthalmologist Job Opening in Sterling, Illinois Located 2 hours from Chicago Position Details: - 99-bed, independent, community hospital- Employed physician model. - The hospital currently employs about 68 physicians in 35 areas of medicine. In addition to the hospital and Main Clinic, it offers 12 additional satellite facilities in the service area.- Candidates must be BC/BE- General comprehensive Ophthalmology and Cataracts- Bread and butter, busy practice- Interest in common lid surgeries a plus- Other sub-specialty interest a plus- All lid surgeries and sub-specialty work are currently sent out- 5 In-House Optometrists for direct referrals- 100% catchment of all other local optometrists- 1:7 call- Support staff available to work up, refract, and scribe- High earning potential- Robust benefits package Seeking candidate who prefers to practice in an environment that will offer a comfortable work-life balance in a community of about 26,000 residents: - Family friendly atmosphere- Laid back lifestyle- Ideal for outdoor activities- Sports, training, and wellness complex rivaling anything in the nation- Woodlawn Arts Academy- 2 hours west of Chicago- 1 hour east of the Mississippi River- Public and private Schools
