Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Desert Dentist. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing excellent patient care, has strong attention to detail, and possesses great communication skills. You will be responsible for performing routine cleanings, conducting thorough oral health assessments, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about dental health, works well in a team environment, and is committed to making a positive impact on our patients' smiles and well-being.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid RDH license in California
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and patient care
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment


Responsibilities

  • Perform routine dental cleanings, including removing plaque, calculus (tartar), and stains from teeth.
  • Conduct thorough oral health assessments, including reviewing patient health history and examining teeth and gums for signs of disease or other concerns.
  • Take and process dental x-rays as needed for diagnostics.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and diet tips to maintain good oral health.
  • Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants.
  • Work closely with the dentist to provide support during exams and treatments.
  • Record and document patient care and treatment in dental records.
  • Stay up to date on dental hygiene best practices and maintain compliance with all safety, health, and infection control protocols.
