Radiation Oncology opening in Cooperstown, NY Located in the Foothills of the Adirondack and Catskill Mountains75 miles from Albany, NY; 190 miles from NYCA progressive academic health system in central New York, and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join our team. Position Details - Work as an essential member of a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-oriented care in an environment that fosters teamwork, collaboration, and independence, prioritizing patient safety. - The radiation treatment facility is located at the main campus in Cooperstown, with a satellite facility in Oneonta, NY, just 30 minutes away. This position will primarily be based in Oneonta, with patient care rotating through both locations. Future regional travel may include Cobleskill and Herkimer. - Full spectrum of radiation oncology services includes IMRT, IGRT, 3D conformal therapy, SRS, SBRT, SGRT, low dose and high dose rate brachytherapy, respiratory gating, and radiopharmaceuticals. - Equipment at the Cooperstown Campus includes Varian TrueBeam, Phillips Big Bore 16-slice CT simulator, Bravos multichannel HDR afterloader, Eclipse planning system, and ARIA electronic record and dosimetry services. - Equipment at the Oneonta facility includes Varian 23ix and dosimetry services, with a long-term plan for upgrades. - 5-day work week. Position Requirements - MD, DO, or MBBS. - Board Eligible or Board Certified in Radiation Oncology. - New York State Licensure. - BLS Certification required. - DEA required. About the Healthcare Network Cancer Program is a multidisciplinary initiative with 50 years of continuous accreditation by the American College of Surgeons as an approved Cancer Center and 30 years of participation in NCI sponsored clinical trials. Medical Center has onsite Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Pathology and State of the Art Imaging. Comprehensive support team including Nurse Navigator, Social Worker, Financial Counselor, Nutritionist and Palliative Care.Healthcare Network is an integrated health care system that provides care and services to people living in an eight county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York.
