Job Summary: The Benefits Assistant will support the Benefits Manager in administering and managing the company’s benefits programs. This role involves daily administrative tasks, team member communication, and ensuring the smooth operation of benefits-related processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about helping our team members understand and utilize their benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Benefits Administration:
    • Assist in the administration of all company benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, wellness programs, and more.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits records in the HRIS system.
    • Process enrollments, changes, and terminations in benefits plans.
    • Coordinate with benefit providers to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  2. Team Member Support:
    • Respond to team member inquiries regarding enrollment, life events, benefits plans and coverage.
    • Assist with communications and team member inquiries during open enrollment periods.
  3. Communication and Education:
    • Help organize and facilitate benefits information sessions.
  4. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations related to benefits administration.
    • Assist with the preparation of benefits-related reports and documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
  5. Other Duties:
    • Support the Benefits Manager with special projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in benefits administration or human resources is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
