Unlock your potentialJob Summary and QualificationsThe Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.What you will do in this role:Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients."About this unit:18 Bed Unit; 1:4 Nurse to Patient RatioHigh acuity focus including Chest Pain, Cath Lab post procedure, vascular surgical patients, heart failure, and any patient on CV dripChallenging and rewarding unit with strong culture and cohesive teamworkOpportunity to gain certifications, unit specializes in cardiac skills and growth towards critical careWhat qualifications you will need:Graduation from an accredited School of NursingCurrent state of Missouri RN licensure required. Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required. BLS certification required at hire and maintained. ACLS required within 6 months. Previous clinical experience preferred.Basic computer skillsLee's Summit Medical Center is an 80+ bed full-service hospital. We serve Lee’s Summit and surrounding areas. We offer physical therapy, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, sports medicine, respiratory care, women’s care, and an array of surgical services. We have a dually-accredited Chest Pain and Primary Stroke Center. Our trained staff and experienced Medical Staff are ready to treat our community.
