JOB SUMMARY:
This role will operate one or more cranes to move heavy equipment from one location to another location ensuring operational lifts are planned out, equipment is inspected, and safety protocol is adhered to. This is an exciting time to join JTS as we are growing and expanding our company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates various Cranes to move equipment and other materials.
- Plan operational lifts.
- Will inspect equipment and be responsible for all safety aspects of operating the equipment.
- May follow signal directions from a signaler in equipment operations.
- Will access area of operations for safety issues and required processes and planning of equipment operations.
- Operate lifts for access to roofs, with harnesses when needed
- Help load completed units on transport trucks using correct rigging and choke on chains when needed
- Communication with ground crew at all times.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Must have current National Commission for the certification of crane operators (NCCCO) credentials for the appropriate type of crane
- Must have 2+ years experience as a Crane Operator. (Will assist with final certification)
- Must have experience and knowledge of operating various cranes, such as 90 and 120-ton telescopic boom swing cab crane.
- Required to have a valid drivers license and meet a motor vehicle records check.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
- Must know all proper hand signals.
- Must be willing to assist in other duties while not operating a crane.
- Must be able to follow instructions correctly.
- Must be reliable, accountable, and consistent in performing administrative processes such as but not limited to equipment inspection paperwork.
- Strong attention to detail with an even stronger work ethic.
- Effective time management skills who can also adapt to quickly changing priorities.
- Must wear PPE such as protective eyewear, hearing protection, etc.
- Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to always ensure a safe workplace.
- Have reliable attendance, be respectful and responsible at work.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong communication skills and awareness of others in movement
- Ability to work under pressure and keep calm.
- Ability to maintain a safe perimeter and signal crane operator.
- Skilled at driving a forklift.
- Good math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to perform work tasks with little or no supervision.
- Ability to push, pull and lift 50lbs.
- Ability to work in all-weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
