What You Will Do:

The DoD Internal Control Lead helps DoD organizations optimize all elements of their internal control environment, including:

  • Support the development, implementation, and execution of client organizational Internal Control or audit remediation strategies.

  • Serve as the point person for client communications and manage client interactions.

  • Communicate Program statuses to internal and external stakeholders in verbal and written communications.

  • Oversee the work of 5+ junior team members and ensure the quality of their work product.

  • Professionally develop junior team members by providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring.

  • Lead and facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.


What You Will Need:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET federal security clearance

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field

  • TEN (10) years experience performing financial statement audits, RMIC / A-123 program execution, or audit remediation and sustainment services within DoD, another Federal government agency, or large or complex commercial organizations.

  • TEN (10) years experience managing teams, and coaching /developing junior consultants.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and address client needs; build solid relationships with clients; communicate with clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner; deliver clear requests for information; demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks; and communicate potential risks to team leadership.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • One of the following certifications: PMP, CPA, CGFM, CIA

  • Consulting experience within the DoD
