Provides professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of employees. Manages the health component of workers' compensation cases. Prepares and maintains patient clinical records. Assists in evaluating the occupational health and safety efforts and recommends changes. Participates in continuing education to update knowledge of occupational health and safety, including legal regulations applicable to health and safety.Core ResponsibilitiesWorker's CompensationCase manager of health assessments and review for workers compensation.Initiates and follows up on workers compensation claims, documents treatment plan.Serves as liaison with insurance carrier, health provider, and company.Understands workers compensation law to be prepared to participate in workers compensation hearings and mediations. The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production plant.
