Our food manufacturing client is currently seeking a Controller for the operations outside of Columbus OH. You will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of our company. From overseeing budgeting, forecasting and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, your expertise will contribute to our continued growth and success.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.Collaborate with department heads to analyze financial performance and identify areas for improvement.Prepare and present financial analysis and insights to senior management.Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing support to departmental budget owners.Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.Stay current with accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.Oversee the HR coordinator and HR functions.Serve as a contributing member of the senior leadership by providing input to the owners and other key decision makers.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.Experience with Direct Store Delivery (DSD) business model and/or distribution and logistics.
