Overview
The Senior Solutions Engineering Specialist (SES) partners with Specialist Business Sales to sell complex T-Mobile for Business products and services by leveraging their strong technical skills, experience, and industry knowledge. SESs engage in presales activities by consulting on customer opportunities to gain understanding of their business, identify their business challenges, and develop solutions which meet their needs. SESs partner with Marketing, Product, SE, Engineering, Sales Ops, and Care teams to lead complex solutions designs for our largest and most complex customer opportunities.

The Sr. SES will architect and designs solutions utilizing T-Mobile or partner business solutions, equipment, and network. SESs provide technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations, as well as providing answers to customer's technical inquiries. SESs further support Specialist Business Sales by reviewing specific customer opportunities and sales funnels. SESs will consult with Sales on the technical aspects of T-Mobile for business products and services. SESs maintain their technical skills and industry expertise by participating in internal and external training opportunities. SESs also pursue and maintain partner or industry certification as required for their position.

Sr. Solutions Engineering Specialists (SES) also:
*Senior SES is well tenured in presales engineering within the fields of Wireless RF Networking, IoT, SASE and Cloud Architectures

*Maintain expert-level knowledge of specialty products focused on 5G Advanced Solutions, Private Networks, SASE/SDWAN, and IoT
*Maintain knowledge of external solution providers/technology companies that can be leverage by T-Mobile for our large opportunities.
*Maintain expert-level knowledge of wireless Value-Added Solutions
*Understand and present T-Mobile wireless network and related key technologies
*Understand and present product roadmaps as needed
*Understand and present network coverage/network build-out plans as needed
*Assist with post-sale support/escalations as needed
*Portfolio awareness of all T-Mobile Solutions and technologies

Job Responsibilities:

  • Aligns to support Specialist sales teams for Advanced and Complex Solutions
  • Supports complex customer opportunities in the most sophisticated customer segments such as Enterprise, Strategic, or Government.
  • Architects or develops standard and non-standard solutions to complex business challenges.
  • Support complex Sales team by reviewing specific customer opportunities and sales funnels
  • Uncover opportunities and recommend solutions
  • Understand nuances and drivers to close technical hurdles
  • Prepare and present technical customer presentations
  • Present product roadmaps
  • Present network build-out plans.
  • Provide RFP technical input
  • Strategize with Sales team to improve Regional/National sales
  • Own customer technical relationships
  • Supports customer pilots.
  • Provides Subject Matter Expertise in at least TWO area of focus (SDWAN/Edge, Cellular Technology, Security, Mobile Internet/Routers, etc.)
  • Maintaining technical knowledge by attend training in assigned areas
  • Maintaining adequate level of industry expertise
  • Pursue industry certification appropriate to role
  • T-Mobile wireless network and related key technologies
  • Wireless-related Value-Added Solutions
  • High-level understanding of T-Mobile solutions, products, and technologies.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience
  • Assist w/ high-level support and troubleshooting
  • Open tickets and engage appropriate support resources
  • Product/Network/Marketing road-show webinars
  • Provides Training and Mentoring to Associate SEs and Engineers as required.
  • Leads tiger teams or special projects as required.


Education:
  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree STEM area of study (Required)
  • Master's/Advanced Degree in business discipline preferred (Preferred)


Work Experience:
  • More than 10 years of experience in telecommunications, with a professional track record of successful solution sales, managing internal/external relationships in a matrix environment. (Required)
  • More than 10 years Technical design/architecture (Required)
  • Experience supporting Strategic or Federal Accounts (Required)


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Technical Leadership (Required)
  • Project Management (Preferred)
  • Communication Excellent oral and written communications; strong interpersonal skills. (Required)
  • Sales Experience with Sales Methodologies. (Preferred)
  • Applications Proficiency with business application software. (Required)
  • Strategic Leadership Ability to provide strategic direction in a leadership role. (Required)
  • Technical Presentations Ability to create and deliver technical presentations. (Required)
  • Subject Matter Expertise in at least TWO area of focus (Cellular Architectures, SDWAN/Edge, Security, Mobile Internet/Routers, IoT) (Required)

Total Target Cash Pay Range: $140,600 - $253,600, inclusive of target incentives

Base Pay Range: $98,420 - $177,520

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in this role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
