Under the guidance of experienced technicians, the apprentice will learn how to perform the day-to-day activities and responsibilities of our maintenance technicians. From your EXPERTISE to oursKey responsibilities for this position include:Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks as scheduledBasic knowledge of tools, machinery, and electrical systems (Basic knowledge of tools, machinery, required; knowledge of electrical systems preferredAssist in diagnosing mechanical issues and performing necessary repairs Assist with troubleshooting mechanical devices such as centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, roller conveyors, belt conveyors, palletizers, sanitary and non-sanitary valves, fillers, check weighers, metal detectors, gearboxes, bearings, seals and etcGain an understanding of positive displacement pumps & centrifugal pumps Assist in troubleshooting various pump systems Gain an understanding of SAP and how to look up parts in the systemAssist in the installation and set-up of new machinery or equipment.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with company and safety standardsSupport the documentation of maintenance activities, including logging repairs, adjustments, and spare part usageFollow all company policies, including food safety, health, and environmental regulations
