Memory Support Manager

Valle Verde, a HumanGood community in Santa Barbara, recently named "Best Continuing Care Retirement Community in the US - 2024 and 2025" by Newsweek magazine, is hiring a Memory Support Program Manager ("MSPM"). The MSPM coordinates and leads the community' s memory support program to ensure that the physical, social, and emotional needs of the residents and their families are met. S/he also promotes and engages team members and residents in "Best Life" philosophy.
What is Best Life? Best Life is a unique and holistic dementia care approach that helps people and organizations support those living with dementia to live rich and rewarding lives
** Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000/year (DOE) **
Work Schedule: Monday- Friday
Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Keeping the HumanGood Memory Support Program Philosophy at the core of all planning and implementation of activities and care to meet the specific needs of residents
Collaborating with Clinical partners to coordinate resident moves and transfers within the Memory Support department
Assure that resident profile is completed (prior to move-in preferable; no later than 3 business days after move-in) and shared with team members;
Conducting orientation and promoting support and/or educational groups for residents and family members
Coordinates with Director of Wellness and Assisted Living when significant changes of residents occur which may lead to level of care change or adjustment;
Preparing and updating Level of Care Transfer Notices and Service Plans for Memory Support residents in collaboration with the Director of Wellness and Assisted Living
Maintaining readiness for licensing and accreditation surveys
Completing required state training programs for Memory Support
Performing other critical duties and responsibilities as required
To be successful in the role, you would have
Bachelor's degree in social work, recreation therapy, aging, business, or related field, preferred.
3-5 years of prior related experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
