You will gain hands on experience with Amazon’s heterogeneous text and structured data sources, and large-scale computing resources to accelerate advances in language understanding.The Science team at AWS Bedrock builds science foundations of Bedrock, which is a fully managed service that makes high-performing foundation models available for use through a unified API. We are adamant about continuously learning state-of-the-art NLP/ML/LLM technology and exploring creative ways to delight our customers. Our team affords employees options to work in the office every day or in a flexible, hybrid work model near one of our U.S. Amazon offices.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience- 3+ years of building models for business application experience- Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language- Experience in any of the following areas: algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Working knowledge and experience tuning large language models (multimodal) and building evaluations.- Working knowledge and experience of (multi-modal) evaluation on responsible AI- Track record of innovating and delivering outside the box novel solutions for challenging problems.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $222,200/year in our highest geographic market.
