SLU Hospital is an academic institute as well as a Level 1 Trauma/stroke facility that offers exceptional pay, benefits, tuition reimbursement, pet insurance, matching retirement funds, and more If you would like to be a part of this team, please submit your application today Call requirement for Gen/Vascular – 1 week a month Job Summary:Performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging studies.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:Performs ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, small parts and gynecological procedures under the supervision of a radiologist according to guidelines set forth by American College of Radiology (ACR)B) Clearly communicates & explains the exam procedure to the patient and any family member present to insure understanding and patient’s consent for explained test.C) Assesses patient’s medical, cardiac or vascular status by taking a history before the exam.D) Assembles a chart with the patient’s information and enters information into the current PACS System or Electronic Medical Record (EMR).E) Records all imaging studies (digital archive) for the Medical Director or his/her designee to review and interpret.DISCLAIMER:  Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.Job SpecificationsMinimum Education:Graduate of an approved AS program in Medical Sonography or scheduled to graduate from approved BS program with RDMS(AS) certificationMinimum Experience:1 year of experience preferred but new grads welcome      Required Course: (licensure/certification)    Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)    AndRegistered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)Work Shift:PRN / Per Diem Shift (United States of America)Job Type:EmployeeDepartment:4206000037 UltrasoundScheduled Weekly Hours:0SSM Health is an equal opportunity employer.
