About the unit6 Meijer Heart Center (6 Heart) is a 46-bed cardiac and vascular progressive/stepdown unit at the Meijer Heart Center.  The primary patient population served include patients with various cardiac and vascular diseases requiring medical, procedural, or surgical interventions.  This includes acute coronary syndrome, acute myocardial infarction, post-percutaneous coronary intervention, peripheral artery disease, renal artery disease, aortic aneurysm, carotid artery disease and heart rhythm disorders.    6 Heart nurses are skilled in peritoneal dialysis, utilization of Endotool for continuous insulin drip management, and hemodynamic monitoring with arterial lines. 6 Heart is a great unit to grow and develop as a nurse.  Our team members gain knowledge and confidence caring for our cardiac and vascular patients.  You will feel and become a part of our work family, all working towards the same goal of supporting each other and providing safe and excellent care to our patients. About Meijer Heart CenterThe heart and vascular systems demand extraordinary care. The RN provides quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures and recognizes the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes.
