Apply TodayJob Summary and QualificationsTo perform MRI procedures at a technical level, which does not require constant supervision, and to assume the responsibilities for designated area or procedures as required. To assure the highest degree of quality performance and patient care is delivered to neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients according to their physical needs and limitations. To maintain MRI’s continuous effective operation. What you will do in this role: Exhibits strong understanding of MRI procedures and anatomy/physiology with a good understanding of equipment.Establish priorities for the daily operation of MRIPerforms all duties and requirements of job descriptionCommunicates with department supervisor to improve department operations.Builds positive working relationships with employees, peers, supervisors and physicians.Has good working knowledge of Inventory Control, Scheduling Module, Admission processes, Insurance Verification, staffing requirements, and research/protocol development.Have a sound understanding of safety procedures relating to MRIResponsible for maintaining appropriate license and continuing educationEnsures communication of schedule with supervisors in both base and receiving departments.What qualifications you will need:CT registry is preferredMinimum of two years of experience in a hospital-imaging department is required, and one year of experience in CT or MRI is preferredBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateCertified Medical Radiologic Technologist HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is a 530+ bed hospital where sophisticated, world-class medicine meets the comfort, care and convenience of a community hospital.
