We want you to applyJob Summary and QualificationsOur Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for scans of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information and measures concentration of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas. The commitment to service, safety and professionalism is critical to achieving the best experience for our patients. Come join our team of dedicated professionals that are committed to delivering the best patient care. What You Will Do In This Role: You will check patient charts for needed exam and tests. You will prepare patients for exams – administers pre-medication, radioactive isotopes and transfers patient to examining table. You will scan the patient – making proper settings on the gamma camera. You will read or survey the amount of radiation given off by certain radioactive material shipped to the department. You will record every radioactive isotope for inspection by the Bureau of Radiation Control. You will record information on patient history and examination. You will assist in administering I-131 therapy and maintain I-131 therapy schedule, record scan and test results. You will order radioactive isotopes in a timely manner. You will file the patient record and maintain proper charge code and exam. What Qualifications You Will Need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateState Registered Radiologic TechnicianVocational School GraduateNMTCB Radiation Safety Certified, or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or NMTCB Nuclear Cardio TechnicianMedical City Arlington is a 435+ bed full-service hospital located in south Arlington.
