Job Description Laboratory Technician 2 - Lincoln, NEThis is a full time hourly positionJob Responsibilities:Perform routine analytical testing procedures in an accurate and timely mannerUse analytical results and feedback from internal/external sources to determine test equipment calibration needs and adjustmentsRecord and compile test results to prepare graphs, charts and reports as required and requested by managementCommunicate results to internal/external customers via COA's, verbal or written documentationProvide independent oversight of processes, verifying compliance to company standards and policies and effectively communicating deviations from the standard(s) to Lab Tech and managementSchedule and execute sample submittals to external laboratories for testingReceive and document external testing resultsProvide ongoing training and process improvement ideas with Lab Techs working on evening shiftsConduct routine quality control testing and maintain accurate records of quality assurance activitiesMaintain lab in a safe and sanitary conditionActively participate in quality, food safety and safety programsSupport QFS ManagerVerify sufficient inventory of testing supplies and maintain the cleanliness of the laboratory environmentMust be willing to stay over 4 hours or come in 4 hours early to cover for coworker absencesMust be willing to work 2nd shift and weekendsPrefer familiarity with lab instrumentation, but not requiredMust be able to work independentlyMust follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobPosition requires the ability to be on your feet for extended periods of timeHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredComputer skills and competency in Excel ad Word are preferredMust have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures (previous safety committee and/or other safety leadership experience is a plus)ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
