The data modeler should be capable of modelling for various data bases like AWS Redshift, S3, Dynamo DB , DB2, and post GRE. This role will be full-time and hybrid in Trenton, NJ.What You'll DoUnderstand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions for different systemsWork with the Application Development teams (ex: Pega Applications) to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data modelsCreate logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancyOptimize and update logical and physical data models to support Data Initiative project for different phases of implementationDevelop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data modelsRecommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environmentsPerform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases like DB2 and SQL scriptsEvaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies across the different source systemsAnalyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions and develop the model according to client standardsWork with all IT teams like System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers, BI and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfacesReview modifications to existing software to improve efficiency and performanceWhat You'll NeedRequired:Candidate should have over all 8+ years of Data Modelling experienceBachelor's DegreeMinimum 4 years of overall experience and 3 years into Bigdata TechnologiesStrong work experience in Data modeling and usage of data modeling toolsExposure with Snowflake’s Cloud Data Warehouse, if possibleWell versed in understanding relational data, dimensional data, unstructured data, and master dataShould have recent data management trend skills such as developing data lake model along with traditional modelling practices like snowflake and starKnowledge of recent modeling techniques that are adapted for data warehousing and analytical structures.Able to build logical data model and translate logical model into physical databaseAble to demonstrate expertise with the most recent and relevant technologies in the data modelling implementationExcellent communication skills and possess the ability to collaborate with internal and external groups including vendors8+ years of experience in Data Modeling for Databases like DB2, AWS’ Redshift, Dynamo DB, Postgres, SQL Server, Pega Application.Data modeling software (6 years)AWS and Other Cloud systems experience is mustStrong SQL and data profiling skills in various relational databasesAnalyzing source databases, source data, source database referential integrity and profiling source data (8 years)Database tuning techniques (minimum 4 years)Experience in building Data Lakes for both structured and unstructured data (2 years)Physical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standardsSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitorReasonable Accommodation StatementIf you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 – 8111.Equal Employment Opportunity Policy StatementIt is the policy of CAI not to discriminate against any employee or applicant due to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, disability or being a protected veteran.
