This is a full-time social work role in the CAPE (Critical Care, Anesthesia, Perioperative, and Home Ventilation) Program. The program promotes high-quality, coordinated care to improve the lives of children who require long-term ventilator assistance and their families. CAPE services are tailored to meet individual patient needs and include extensive home visits, outpatient clinics, and inpatient consultations.This CAPE Clinical Social Worker will be responsible for:Conducting psychosocial assessments and provide consultation and support to familiesManaging cases and coordinating complex resources with community, governmental, school, healthcare, and other agenciesCollaborating with a multidisciplinary team across the continuum of careTo qualify, you must have:Masters in Social Work, and state of MA LICSW Several years of social work experience in a medical environment with chronic illness highly preferredAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, along with flexibility and excellent communication skillsBilingual in English and Spanish is preferredNew hires are eligible for a $5,000 sign on bonusBoston Children’s Hospital offers competitive compensation and unmatched benefits including flexible schedules, affordable health, vision and dental insurance, childcare and student loan subsidies, generous levels of time off, 403(b) Retirement Savings plan, Pension, Tuition and certain License and Certification Reimbursement, cell phone plan discounts and discounted rates on T-passes.
