The Judge Group is seeking an Electrical Technician for a manufacturing company in the Lumberton, NC Area.Title Electrical TechnicianLocation: Lumberton, NCPay Range: $35/hr - $40/hr Shift: 2nd or 3rdOverview: The Electrical Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of electrical, automation, and robotic systems within the production facility. This role emphasizes adherence to safety protocols and reinforces Safety as a Core Value. The technician ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and activities related to Food Safety & Quality to minimize product and process variability.Responsibilities:• Safety and Compliance:o Adhere to safe work practices and complete monthly safety audits/observations.o Follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality.o Report any conditions or practices that may affect food safety, food quality, and personnel safety.o Ensure regulatory compliance at all times.• Technical Duties:o Interpret electrical schematics and user manuals.o Troubleshoot automation/robotics software and hardware issues, including PLCs and touchscreens.o Use advanced network troubleshooting to diagnose control networking issues.o Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot and maintain servers.o Create user manuals and training documentation; train technicians as needed.o Identify and facilitate process and automation improvements.o Assist and consult with management/engineering on projects.o Provide support and leadership to maintenance technicians.o Manage, backup, and organize all electrical/automation-related documentation.Qualifications:• Education and Experience:o Two-year certificate from a college or technical school and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.o Experience with mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is helpful.• Skills and Abilities:o Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as electrical schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and procedure manuals in English.o Ability to write routine reports, procedural manuals, and correspondence in English.o Effective presentation skills for one-on-one and group situations.o Experience with Allen Bradley/Rockwell automation is required.o Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.o Strong interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships and a team-oriented environment.o Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.o Effective communication of issues and project status with management, vendors, peers, and production personnel.o Technical leadership and support for maintenance technicians.o Proficiency with tools such as Multimeters, PCs, and software for troubleshooting electrical issues.o Ability to work with internal and external resources to resolve issues promptly.• Additional Requirements:o Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.o Adherence to all safety policies and procedures.o Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
