Supported by an experienced Behavioral Health team, the Nurse Manager Psychiatry will have the support to exceed the goals of the department and keep the Inpatient Psych Unit operating as efficiently as possible. The Nurse Manager Psychiatry will report to the Director of Mental Health Services to keep them informed, and will collaborate with them on unit initiatives.  

As the Nurse Inpatient Psychiatry Manager, you will be accountable for overseeing clinical and administrative operations, ensuring that your staff and department are operating efficiently, and making sure that each patient is treated with the highest level of care possible. The Nurse Inpatient Psychiatry Manager will be an experienced nurse with prior psychiatric experience. Individuals with 2+ years of Inpatient Psychiatry Management/Leadership experience will earn quick interviews. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of psychiatric nurses, ensuring a supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • Patient Care: Ensure the delivery of high-quality psychiatric nursing care to patients, adhering to best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and develop nursing staff through coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
  • Quality Improvement: Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Budget Management: Oversee budgetary responsibilities related to staffing, supplies, and equipment.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
