Facilitating this through workflow such as document request, current record reports compilations that require analytical skills and use of individual judgment. Maintains purchasing database as well as ensure vendor network in system is up to date. Updates SAP system pertaining to indirect and direct supply materials. Contacts customers, suppliers, or company employees outside the immediate work area on a regular basis. Initial focus will be on updating and correcting existing material descriptions within our operating system in SAP. ResponsibilitiesData Collection: Collects technical specifications and commercial specifications, including buyer information, volume, supplier management and pricing. Partner to identify Decision Matrix criterion and provide relevant data and recommendations back to internal category management team on required changes.Research and normalize questionable data per established rulesUtilize data governance tools, standards and processes to ensure a high level of master data quality.Run data quality monitoring and reporting to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Pricing Updates: Validates and reconciles quarterly/yearly/as needed via SAP dataPopulate required data and submit for SAP uploads through DSP (Data Stewardship Platform)Assist with Supply Discontinuance Request (SDR) loads for obsolete materialsGatekeeper of the Purchasing shared email box - SAP Gatekeeper for Ingredients and Packaging. Provide facility support for SAP, DSP (Data Stewardship Platform), MRP (Material Requirement Planning), and Packaging inquiries. Validate and audit uploadsAssist in Material Number requestsCleansing existing dataMaintains record keeping systems Direct and Indirect Supplies DataProject Management: schedules re-occurring meetings and collaborates with stakeholders to resolve discrepanciesFacilitates weekly calls, publishes meeting recaps, and follow-ups as needed.Travels to supplier facilities as well as Smithfield production facilities to gain education on production processes.Competitive Benchmarking: Identify Best in Class process for analyzing dataThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
