No matter your role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our success as we deliver innovative solutions to our clients. POSITION SUMMARY:The Superintendent's role is responsible for coordinating all activities related to a construction project on jobsite, completing work ahead of schedule, within budget and within specifications and the duties will vary by client and project size with varying degrees of responsibility and authority. Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and proceduresManage a combination of two or more Leadmen, Foremen and Superintendents, and up to 60 or more employeesSupervise overall direction, coordination, performance and evaluation of sub-contractorsMust be able to perform all the duties of lower level Superintendent and/or ForemanDirectly supervise, coordinate and delegate activities of Superintendent(s), Foreman(men) and/or construction trade workers in one or more occupationsCoordinate activities of multiple subcontractorsInteract with client in order to keep the project on schedule and under budgetMaintain a well-organized receiving systemPrepare accurate two week look-aheadPerform all types of job layouts with the latest technologyCommunicate effectively to employees in oral and written formPerform minor estimatingUnderstand and use schedulesComplete all required project reports and maintain appropriate documentation on all facets of the projectEnsure that all operators are certified and maintain all equipment on the projectAssist Human Resources and Superintendent by interviewing, hiring, and training, appraising work performance and addressing complaints of employees in the fieldManage, lead direct reports, and mentor.Supervise up to five foremen and lead other superintendents and crews consisting of up to 100 or more employees Qualifications: EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Superintendent I Requirements: Three years’ (3) experience/knowledge in a supervisory role in construction.Superintendent II Requirements: Five (5) years’ experience/knowledge or combination of experience and education in a supervisory roleSuperintendent III Requiremnts: Five (5) years’ or more experience/knowledge or combination of experience and education in a supervisory role KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.Set a personal example of safe behavior.Organize, instruct and supervise construction crews and sub-contractors in all areas of constructionKnowledge of all construction tools, machinery methods and proceduresMust be able to forecast and monitor costs of projectUnderstanding of construction methods, scheduling and blueprint readingThe ability to demonstrate leadership, lead by example, motivate workers and communicate with workers, subordinates and clientsComputer experience with Microsoft office, Email and Internet preferredAbility to work well under pressure and within timelinesAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizationAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumeAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometryAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusionsAbility to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variablesOther may duties may be assignedMaintain in-depth relations with all members of their team and your supervisor.HOURS:This position is a Full-Time position scheduled to work typically 50 hours per week.  Schedule is subject to projects requirements. TRAVEL:Travel required up to 90%.  Position requires presence directly on the Project Site location with intermittent travel to residence of record. What's in it for you: Financial WellbeingCompensation $90,000 - $145,500 per year, commensurate with experience.Competitive pay with ongoing performance review and merit increase401(k) with company match & Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Flexible spending account (Healthcare & Dependent care)Health & WellnessMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance (plan choice) - coverage for spouse, domestic partner, and childrenDiabetes Management, Telehealth Coverage, Prescription Drug Plan, Pet InsuranceFamily & LifestylePaid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Bereavement LeaveMilitary Leave, including Differential Pay and Benefits ContinuationEmployee Assistance ProgramPlanning for the UnexpectedShort and long-term disability, life insurance, and accidental death & dismembermentVoluntary life insurance, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity coverageEmergency Travel Assistance ProgramGroup legal plan Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing.
