We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and QualificationsUnder the direction of the Non-Invasive Cardiology/Neurodiagnostic Services Director, the Echo Technician/Accreditation Specialist plans, directs, and supervises all aspects of on-going cardiac echo and vascular imaging training for current staff members, future staff members, and students. This individual will also coordinate all aspects of lab accreditation for both cardiac ultrasound and vascular imaging. Candidate will also staff as needed to perform routine patient exams at a high technical level to include Echocardiograms, Carotids, TEEs, and Tilt Tables for adult patients.Essential Job Functions:Demonstrates technical proficiency for adult echocardiograms, TEEs, HUTTs and Carotid imaging.Develops and maintains all ongoing documentation to support and implement departmental accreditation for both the Cardiac Ultrasound and Vascular Labs.Candidate will staff for routine patient care at the direction of the Director.Trains all staff and students to perform at high level of competency. Must demonstrate an aptitude to teach, guide, and direct trainees and staff.Maintaining all patient reports. However, may substitute 10 years clinical experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.Minimum of 5 years experience in a hospital setting directly working in the field of cardiac ultrasound/vascular imaging. One year’s experience must have included a responsible role for the teaching/training of students and/or new orientees.Candidate must have completed coursework from an accredited echo-training program.Courses in Advanced Anatomy and Physiology, and Medical Terminology are required.Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office required.Minimum License and Certificates Required: Candidate must possess a registry in adult echocardiography (RCDS).
