Who We Are
At Foster, we're passionate about positively impacting people-our employees, our customers, and our community. We believe in fostering an environment where individuals can thrive, be themselves, and make a real difference in the world around them. Are you ready to be a part of something meaningful?
The Role: Inventory Specialist
As an Inventory Specialist at Foster, you'll play a vital role in our food logistics process. From ensuring accurate physical inventory counts to investigating discrepancies and providing solutions, your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will help keep our operations running smoothly. You'll also be on the front lines of inspecting and approving returned items, ensuring quality and accountability in every transaction.
This role is hands-on and requires both mental and physical toughness. You'll need to move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds, operate a forklift (don't worry-we'll teach you), and maintain high standards of food and occupational safety. Most importantly, you'll do it all in an environment built on trust, collaboration, and excellence.
No Experience? No Problem
We believe in potential over experience. If you're eager to learn, we'll provide all the training you need to succeed. From operating forklifts to mastering inventory systems, we'll guide you every step of the way.
Who You Are
You're driven, self-motivated, and passionate about creating a world-class customer experience. Problem-solving is your forte, and you're always looking for ways to make things better. You love working with people, optimizing processes, and achieving results. Safety is your top priority, and you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves to get the job done right.
What You'll Do
Promote and contribute to a culture of safety and adherence to food safety standards.
Perform physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
Monitor, manage, and process returned products with sound decision-making and proper documentation.
Collaborate with the Inventory Supervisor to manage donations and recondition products as needed.
Operate forklifts and other powered equipment (training provided) to manage inventory efficiently.
Support the driver check-in process, ensuring timely and accurate handling of returned products.
What You'll Bring
A passion for positively impacting people and making work enjoyable.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in inventory management.
Outstanding customer service and communication skills, both internally and externally.
Proficiency with computers, especially Excel, and a willingness to learn new systems.
Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in a cold warehouse environment.
A proactive attitude and a desire to grow-no experience required, we'll provide all the training you need
