Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Per Diem/VSP Pharmacy Technician 2 Las Vegas obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. The Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.The Per Diem/VSP Pharmacy Technician 2 Las Vegas retrieves, counts, and measures drugs. Assists Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs. Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer. Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist. May operate a cash register. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.Use your skills to make an impact  Required QualificationsMust have an active Nevada Pharmacy Technician license Must be active or be able to become certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/CenterWell's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
