Position Title: Forklift Operator Dry Supply-A ShiftPosition Type: Regular - Full-Time Position Location: Othello Grade: Scale 04_NONU Requisition ID: 33516 Forklift Operator Dry SupplyA Shift (Day)SUMMARYThe McCain Dry Supply Forklift Operator drives a battery or propane powered lift truck with adequate attachment to complete job related task. Driver is responsible for the checking in loads, unloading and suppling production lines with materials/Ingredients in a safe manner. NATURE AND SCOPEResponsibility to monitor work areas, watch for suspicious behavior and report any concerns regarding unidentified visitors and/or unauthorized personnel.Authority to question and take appropriate measures regarding the safety of themselves, other employees, products, and equipment.Responsibility of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the food processing facility, especially where any raw or finished product is produced.Authority to report and/or eliminate hazards to the safety of the food that is produced in the facility.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOperates and understands the function of a forklift to load, unload, rack and stacks material throughout the warehouse and production areas. Understand and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality and safe operation. Performs inventory counts as needed and helps build and promote a strong "Teamwork" environment in the factory. Keeps area clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)Communicates problems or changes in department to supervisor and appropriate personnel.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience in a Warehouse environment. Forklift Experience.Hourly Range: $20.50-$22.78 USD hourly + BonusThe above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting.
