You will need to think big about strategic ideas to reduce your team's burden, and then work with your manager and team to implement those ideas and increase your team's ability and capacity to delight our customers.This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.10012Key job responsibilities- Build, deploy and monitor AWS Non-Relational and Emerging Database Services (such as DynamoDB, ElastiCache, and Neptune) within Amazon Dedicate Cloud (ADC) regions.- Design, deploy, monitor and automate infrastructure, tools and systems to provide a highly-available and resilient platform for our customers' and our team's workloads.- This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically about 10 days a quarter supporting AWS services in our portfolio.- Act as a technical lead and mentor for your teamA day in the lifeOn a "typical" day, our engineers may dive deep to find the root cause of a customer issue, investigate why a metric is trending in the wrong direction, launch a new service or feature, or discuss radical new approaches to automate operational processes. As a member of our team you will join a dedicated group of engineers who provide troubleshooting and operations support, and innovate to automate operational tasks.About the teamWe work normal business hours Monday through Friday at the downtown Denver office. We spend most of our time building and operating AWS database services for external customers.
