As a Core Equipment Engineering (CEE) Center Engineer you will review Capacity Creation Requests (CCR) from various Planning organizations and create and issue Telephone Equipment Orders (TEO) for the Engineering, Furnish, and Installation of Central Office Equipment. The responsibilities of a Center Engineer include, but are not limited to:
• Analysis of CCRs for scope of job and nature of work. • Issuing Requests for Quote to Vendors for Engineering and Installation services. • Reviewing and properly ordering major material as required to fulfill the scope of the CCR. • Monitor, Manage, Supplement if required, and Close VSAP Financial Projects. • Work closely with Field Engineers, Network Installation, Purchasing, and Vendors to ensure all equipment is properly ordered and all job requirements are met. • Monitor TEOs for Invoice issues and payment disputes. • Review and process Change Orders as required. • Track Material for various jobs as needed.
Candidates should have the ability to work well as an individual; within a group; and with other partner organizations. They should demonstrate a high attention to detail and the ability to utilize the tools they are provided to work efficiently and accurately. They should also be able to prioritize their work to meet the demands of multiple customers and partner organizations.
You'll need to have: • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have: • A degree. • Knowledge of telecommunications equipment. • COE Center Engineer experience. • Experience with material ordering and tracking. • Experience with financial project monitoring and closure. • Experience with Company Engineering Systems such as: CCP, UUI CoFEE, VSAP, MSolv, COEP. • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Power point) • Experience with GSuite / Google Workspace programs (Gmail, Google Drive, Sheets) \t\t\t \t\t\t
