Sanitation SupervisorThis position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. Ensures regulatory Compliance.The Sanitation Superintendent will develop and direct the sanitation activities at the Lima facility. They will protect the company brands through standardization and sustainable processes that will deliver sanitation programs that are efficient, effective and consistent. The sanitation superintendent is a member of the plant leadership team and will lead, develop and coach all personnel involved with sanitation of their department/area to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing procedures are followed.This position will evenly support the sanitation functions for the Lima facility. To accomplish this, the position will rotate among all shifts, days, evenings, and develop a schedule that allows time to be spent reviewing each shift that is in cleanup.Duties and Responsibilities:Assumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks. Ensures regulatory compliance.Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safetyAdhere to all safety policies and proceduresDemonstrate procedure and standards compliance
MFI, FSMA and USDAManage sanitation programs and knowledgeable of the following:Cleaning the entire facility to a microbiological levelMaster Sanitation Schedule (MSS)Environmental cleaningEnd of cycle cleaningOperational cleaningCross contamination and daily contaminationSpecial event cleaning
i.e., construction, incident responsePlant janitorial/housekeepingWork directly with chemical provider to address any identified corrective actionsDirectly supervise Sanitation SupervisorDemonstrated knowledge and utilization of cleaning chemistry (chemicals)Develop, validate and verify SSOP s and work instructionsApply wet cleaning techniques following the 7 Steps f Wet Sanitation processApply Clean in Place (CIP) and Clean Out of Place (COP) cleaning techniquesDevelop Facility Construction Food Safety Plans and manage sanitation aspects of construction eventsDemonstrate audit and regulatory complianceValidate, verify and monitor sanitation systems and requirementsEnsure compliance with HACCP prerequisite programs:SanitationGMP sApply sanitary design principlesManage plant zoning / separationManage to personnel safety requirementsManage sanitation budgetDevelop a staff to execute sanitation principlesCoach and mentor Sanitation, Production, and Quality SupervisorsProvide research, guidance and technical support to plant control in areas of sanitationManage cross-functional relationships and influence with operations, maintenance and engineering to drive food safety and sanitation objectivesManage appropriate man hours (staffing and duration) to complete effective sanitation processesIf you d like to hear more about this opportunity and others we are currently working on, please contact Sam Kovacevic at skova cps4jobs.com.JO: 356.23KK#LI-KK1
