Complete physical assessment sheet and reviews medical history. Record work-related issues and report OSHA recordable and workers' compensation cases to the nursing supervisor. Assist with medical cost management.Schedule: Monday - Friday 12:00pm - 9:00pmPrincipal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAdminister medical care for work or non-work-related injuries or illnesses by giving first aid treatment, following appropriate algorithms, or other medical directives or accepted nursing standards.Send to physician or health care facility as appropriate and document information.Enter data into OHM (Occupational Health Management) systems.Complete necessary forms and inform the nursing supervisor.Complete information on physical form and other forms as appropriateAssist with drug screens, CLIA Wave testing, wellness programs, etc., as assigned by the nursing supervisor.Assist with medical cost management by early intervention in the care of associates with constant follow-up.Assist with the administration of medical LOAs under the direction of the Nurse/Wellness Center Supervisor to reduce time away from work.Process physician's notes appropriatelyAssist staff with systems for the health improvement of associates at the facility.Minimum Education Successful completion of an approved practical nursing program or college program or MA degree in a related field.Experience Requirements2 plus years of related work experienceCurrent LPN or MA license in state of practiceCurrent certification in CPR in good standingGood verbal and written communication skillsOccupational experience preferred.Experience PreferredMedical office supervisory experience. Occupational Health experience. Phlebotomy skills. Bilingual Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsThe position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.Ability to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.Ability to access files, supplies, and equipment.Majority of work activity is in an office or clinical environment.When in a plant environment exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfacesMay be exposed to temperatures up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, up to 100% humidity, noise levels up to 110 db., chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facility (SDS available).Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.Perdue Farms, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
