Job Summary

Responsible for a variety of technical duties necessary to the acquisition of echocardiographic examinations and maintenance of the normal operation of the adult echocardiography laboratory.


Job Duties

* Performs and processes echocardiographic examinations including two-dimensional, three dimensional, M-mode, Doppler, and special procedures and exercise techniques.
* Performs emergency procedures when necessary; transports equipment and patients.
* Assists with special procedures including transesophageal echocardiography, intraoperative echocardiography, pericardiocentesis, and contrast echocardiography.
* Analyzes and files echocardiographic data utilizing digital computer analysis systems.
* Assists in developing and maintaining internal training programs and in technical instruction of echocardiographic techniques.
* Assists in approved research activities.
* Performs mobile Echo service as directed.
* Interprets and follow policies and guidelines to define procedures and meet goals and deadlines.

*Relevant experience may be a combination of related work experience and formal training.(Graduation from an accredited training program in cardiac ultrasound = 2 years).


Position Details

** $15,000 Sign on Bonus for Qualified Applicants ***

Graduate of Cardiac Ultrasound Training Program- (Required)
ARDMS or RCS Certification is required within 6 months of hire

Experience

Minimum of 2 years-Relevant experience* (Required)


Certification(s) and License(s)

Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body; Cardiovascular Credentialing International Certification required within 6 months of hire - Default Issuing Body; Certified Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer within 6 months of hire - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
