Responsible for safely transporting and delivering products or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form, while abiding by all state and local traffic laws.Typical Education High School Diploma or General Education (GED)CDL Truck Driver schoolRelevant Experience  Always maintain conscientiousness for safety, while driving as well as performing all other dutiesFull compliance with all FMCSA/DOT regulations and other Company policies and procedures as applicableHaul, load, and handle products as assigned while maintaining efficiencies, such as fuel and best hauling and loading practicesInspects truck for defects before, during, and after trips and submits report indicating truck conditionObtains schedule of load times and locations for the day and drives truck to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skillsMust be able to back up and maneuver in and around tight areasMaintains electronic driver log according to DOTregulationsRegularly inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and waterMakes truck and/or trailer available for scheduled maintenanceRequired Certifications    Must have a valid Class A CDL with proper endorsements and a valid DOT Medical CertificationOther InformationPHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is required to climb and balance while getting in and out of the truck and while hooking and unhooking lines to and from the trailer. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
