Job Description Primary PurposeFocuses on maintaining and repairing vehicles within a fleet. Primary purpose is to ensure the operational readiness, safety and reliability of the fleet by conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing necessary repairs.Major Duties & Responsibilities Performs basic inspections and preventative maintenance on various vehicles.
Moves equipment as needed. Performs basic repairs and intermediate maintenance under supervision. Shop clean-up and organization. Utilizes the Fleet Maintenance software system program.Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. 1 - 3 years' relevant work experience Diesel repair experience highly desirable. Must be willing and able to work a third shift schedule, 8:00PM - 6:30AM Basic computer competency. Must possess a valid Driver's license. Must have own toolbox with appropriate tools. Perform General Physical Activities requiring considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Able and willing to lift between 40 - 60lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to work in extreme cold/hot environments. Able to perform strenuous work in wet/damp environments.
This position performs duties as assigned, leaving work area clean and organized.
