We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and QualificationsOur Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for scans of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information and measures concentration of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas. Come join our team of dedicated professionals that are committed to delivering the best patient care. What You Will Do In This Role: Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic proceduresPerforms at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosisPerforms test in-patients and out-patientsUtilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipmentAdministers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of PracticeDemonstrates industry in radiation safetyCheck patient charts for needed exam and tests.Prepare patients for exams – administers pre-medication, radioactive isotopes and transfers patient to examining table. Scan the patient – making proper settings on the gamma camera. What Qualifications You Will Need: CPR required State Registered Radiologic Technician Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT) 1 year of experience preferred, but not required Must be able to successfully complete established competencies for the position within designated probationary period Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals are hospitals for specialized advanced cardiovascular and spine care. The facility has a dedicated cardiac emergency room. Medical City Spine Hospital has 25+ beds. It provides spine care for common spine disorders. Spine care is also provided for rare, hard-to-treat spinal deformities. Those include adult and pediatric scoliosis and spondylolistheses.
