SUMMARY

Mortenson is hiring a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this important role, you’ll play a key part in identifying and securing top talent to support our business goals. We’re looking for someone who consistently produces high-quality work, takes initiative, and maintains a positive attitude. Collaboration is essential, as you’ll work closely with internal teams, follow established procedures, and have the support of great leadership. Success in this role comes from being proactive, communicating effectively, being open to feedback, and consistently meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the Customer Relationship Manager for assigned business groups
  • Develop and update staffing priorities to focus on for each group
  • Conduct weekly customer relationship meetings and update staffing reports
  • Source and staff a variety of roles across departments, from entry-level to leadership positions.
  • Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Operating and/or Business Group when it comes to their business and positions
  • Recruit diverse candidates needed to achieve workforce make-up goals
  • Directly recruit candidates for employment consideration
  • Build and foster trusted partnerships with the hiring managers in the development of the recruitment and selection plan
  • Work in conjunction with hiring managers in the establishment of employment offers
  • Develop approaches to identify and source needed talent, including Direct recruiting, Career Fairs, Digital Recruiting
  • Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels 
  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree Human Resources Management, or a related field or relevant experience
  • Minimum seven years recruiting/HR experience or a combination of higher education and experience
  • Must have the ability to make recommendation on hiring decisions to upper management
  • Ability to use PC and widely used software packages, e.g., spreadsheets (Excel), word processing (MS Word), HRIS/database
  • Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
  • Ability to travel to career fairs and corporate events
