Description The Leidos National Security Sector has an exciting opportunity in Washington, DC and Reston, VA. The Lead LAN/WAN Engineer will be part of an elite team of IT professionals to helping maintain and secure the enterprise environment for an Intelligence Community (IC) customer.Our focus is to help the organization technically transform is current services by leading edge technology insertions. To accomplish this, we are charges with development of new designs, its implementation, and operation of the new and or enhanced services. Over the life of the contract, we will drive continual service improvement by tech modernization, for our (LANs), wide area networks (WAN), unified communication (UC), Video telecommunication and Streaming services. Position located onsite at Joint Base Anacostia - Washington, DC - DIA HQ.Primary ResponsibilitiesServing as a leader in the local- and wide-area networking; highly sought by others for advice and guidance.Serving as a technical expert on established and ad-hoc project teams providing technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives on existing and new services to meet both architectural and operational needs.Providing expertise in Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, and Communications and Network Systems ManagementMay manage small teams of engineers and related technical staff such as cyber specialists and testers.Providing insight into cutting edge technologies, integrations, and capabilitiesConsulting with other engineers, team leads, or customer stakeholders on requirements, technical direction.Providing expertise on, deep knowledge of, and hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, F5, Aruba, Ruckus, Versa, NOM, NetScout and/or related network components or network monitoring and management toolsProvide deep expertise on BPG, OSPF, Tunnels (GRE, SudeoWire, VPN, L2TP),  Spine and Leaf and BGP Peering.Basic QualificationsRequires a Bachelor’s of Science degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.Hold a DoD Approved 8570 Level IAT II (i.e., CCNP, CCIE)Must possess a TS/SCI clearance and be willing and eligible to obtain a Polygraph. This requires US Citizenship.Must possess experience in Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, and Communications and Network Systems ManagementPossesses deep knowledge of, and hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, F5, Aruba, Ruckus, Versa, NOM, NetScout and/or related network components or network monitoring and management toolsKnowledge of BPG, OSPF, Tunnels (GRE, SudeoWire, VPN, L2TP),  Spine and Leaf and BGP Peering.Preferred QualificationsExperience or exposure supporting Intelligence Community programs#ECS3Original Posting Date:2024-07-31While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
