Nights and weekends not requiredSSM Health is looking for an LPN/ Medical Assistant to join our Clinic Float Pool teamThis role travels between clinics in the Greater Fond du Region to provide additional support. This opportunity is travel based and employees receive a float differential and mileage reimbursementThis is a full time, benefits eligible position scheduled 40 hours per week on the day shift. Hours are typically 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, but may vary depending on department needs between the hours of 6:30 am and 6:30 pm.Nights and weekends are not required unless employees choose to pick up shifts at these times Holidays may be worked if clinics are open.Primary duties across all departments include message review and triage, chart preparation, appointment scheduling, and patient care. Care may be procedural and include phlebotomy, suture/staple removal, vitals, etc.The ideal candidate would be willing to travel, flexible, have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable with phlebotomy skills or willing to learn. Performs select clinical duties.Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, scheduling patients, and filing.Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.May document the provider's encounter with patients.
