They provide outstanding patient service, maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. The Primary Care Medical Assistant will provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge as well as communicating effectively with team members.What You Will Do:Clinical:Triage patients by checking and recording vitals, collect and record pertinent clinical history and all other information deemed necessary for proper charting in the EMSPrepare exam and treatment rooms for patient intakeAssists primary care provider in patient assessments, examinations, and minor proceduresObserve patients, charting, reporting changes in patients’ conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and taking any necessary actionPerform lab testing and phlebotomy. Handles and labels specimens for laboratory and pathology testingPerform wound care and suture removal as neededPerform federal and non-federal DOT, BAT and Drug Screen examsEnsure patient comfort and confidentiality during proceduresThe ability to maintain friendly, cordial relations with all employees, build and maintain confidence and credibility with all employeesDeliver clinical and administrative support for the team and adhere to all policies and procedures of the companyAbility to adhere to the Core Values of the Company, of teamwork, communication, empowerment, quality of care, and friendlinessAdministrative:Verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, and schedule referrals.Maintain and update patient recordsPrepare and organize patient charts for upcoming appointmentsSchedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendarMay perform as a Scribe as neededAssist providers with conducting proper patient follow-ups, including but not limited to, conducting follow-up calls within 1-2 days of treatment, respond to messages within the same day of receiptAnswer phone calls, address patient inquiries, and triage urgent messages to primary care providerManage inventory, order medical supplies and medications as needed.Responsible for learning the aspects of compliance in the company by completing all mandatory compliance Maintain primary care, patient-centered medical home, and value base care knowledge to promote and sell servicesNon-Essential Functions:Assists with urgent care activities as primary care schedule allowsPerform other duties as assigned by management   Experience Requirements and Preferences:: At least 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a primary care setting   Education Requirements:: High School Diploma or Its Equivalent Compliance: Fast Pace Health is committed to the principle of equal employment and creating an inclusive environment for the benefit of our employees, our patients, and our communities.
