Flavor ScientistAs a flavor scientist, you will consult with customers and demonstrate flavor technologies in sweet and savory food applications to enhance their products. You will also be a technical extension of sales to research and present flavor enhancements and applications to clients as a subject matter expert. Working closely with team members to identify opportunities and create new flavor solutions that consumers are looking for. Researching future flavor trends and forecasting solutions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct flavor research investigations in order to create new flavor application categories that showcase robust advantages of company flavor systemsCollaborate with cross-functional R&D team members to research and build out of the company s ability to offer competitive flavor formulas through data gained from sensory experimentsCreate new flavors and refine where necessary. Build line extensions off current flavor library that can enhance offerings to customersHave ownership of flavor library and use this resource as a primary tool in flavor creation and as technical index for offering solutions to clientsWork with team to brainstorm on new technologies in flavor creation, enhancement, and commercialization opportunities. sweet, savory, and new application technology into snacks, mixes, sweets, beverages, RTE s, etc.As Flavor Scientist, be open to showcasing product demonstrations to internal and external stakeholders as an advocate of the company s ability to offer cutting-edge flavor technologiesLead Flavor data analysis and update library, conduct flavor interpretation sessions with stakeholdersIdentify flavor stability and quality concerns and offer corrective actionsWork collaboratively with cross functional internal and customer teams: Marketing, Sensory, Sales, Quality, and ProcurementRequirements and Education:Bachelor s degree (B.S.) in food science of similar preferredAny collaborative work with flavor organizations or certifications preferableExperience with flavor compounding / formulation with a minimum of 4 years of experience with compounding, common flavoring chemical and raw materialsPossess understanding of flavor chemistry and a solid foundation in food science principlesExperience with novel ingredient research and testingUnderstand interaction between flavor chemicals and food ingredients and relation to consumer perceptionsDemonstrate flavor experimentation skills, designing experiments, testing hypotheses, and drawing conclusions for flavor solutionsDrive new initiatives with enthusiasm and seamlessly collaborate with cross-functional teams, bringing together diverse talents to create flavor symphoniesShowcase outstanding teamwork, interpersonal skills, and communicate prowess, fostering a harmonious environment where collaboration and creativity thriveRelish the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, ever-growing team, always ready to roll up your sleeves and immerse yourself in new endeavors whenever needed**If you d like to hear more about this opportunity and others we are currently working on, please contact Damon Wickmann at dwickmann cps4jobs.com.JO: 194.24DW#LI-DM2
