Job Description

Coordinates and performs financial, operational, technology and/or regulatory audits in accordance with established department and professional audit standards. Prepares work papers that support opinions presented in reports.

Essential Functions

1. Performs audits in accordance with professional audit standards, procedures and guidelines, within the boundaries of individual assignments, and within specifications and timeframes listed in the audit plan.
2. Assists in the risk assessment process.
3. Assists in the preparation and delivery of verbal and written presentations and reports to management detailing audit results.
4. Evaluates the effectiveness of financial and operational controls using risk-based concepts. Uses audit engagements as opportunities to identify, review and test key business controls to assist management in meeting its objectives.
5. Develops professional expertise in audit best practices, and in the technical areas of responsibility.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree accounting, finance, business, technology, information systems or other relevant discipline required
  • Master's Degree preferred


Work Experience

1 year relevant experience, preferably in banking or the financial services industry preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA preferred
Familiarity with auditing principles and applying best practices of the internal audit profession required
Familiarity with COSO framework, Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and other regulatory requirements for financial institutions. required

Physical Exertion Details

Sedentary Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $51,942 - $65,538. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
