Psychiatry Opening in Altoona, PA Located in South Central Pennsylvania - 100m to Pittsburgh Position Details - Full-time, permanent- Employed- Inpatient Psych- Practice: 5 Psychiatrists- Workload: Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit + IP consultations- Call Schedule: 1:7; or as needed- Work Schedule: Monday Friday; plus weekend coverage- Patient Load: Moderate - Behavioral Health/Community - Mental Health Compensation: - Base salary = $240,000- Weekend call stipend: avg 10 weekends per Year x $4,200 per weekend = $42,000- Total est. comp = $282,000- Malpractice Insurance: Yes, occurrence based- Health Insurance: Yes, family coverage- Vision/Dental: Yes, family- Life Insurance: Yes- Disability Insurance: Yes- Paid Time Off (PTO) = 20 days per year- CME: 10 days, $3,250 annual allowance- Retirement: Physician participates in: A) Savings Plan: Physician can contribute and Hospital Matches at 50% up to 6% of comp. B) Cash Balance Plan: employer paid pension plan, based on Earnings, age, and years of service.- Relocation Assistance: Yes Department of Behavioral Health - The Department of Behavioral Health provides the following services to the residents of central Pennsylvania: - Inpatient mental health services: 34-bed inpatient, general, Adult, psychiatric unit; Case Management for mental health and Student Assistance Program, Resource Coordination. - Crisis Intervention Center and Access Center for information and referral. - The Department has partnered with a Federally Qualified Health Center, that provides physical and behavioral health services in 13 Pennsylvania counties. - The Group provides the followingOutpatient Behavioral Health Services: Psychiatric Evaluation; Psychotherapy; Medication Monitoring; and Individual, Group and Family Therapy to residents of central PA. The Company - Health Group is part of a world-renowned network of more than 40 hospitals, 90,000 employees, 700 physician offices, and a 3.4 million-member insurance services division- The hospital is a 400-bed tertiary care hospital with 400+ practicing physicians serving a 6-county region in central PA with an accredited level 2 trauma, stroke and chest pain center and a regional oncology, cardiology, cardiac and vascular surgery center.- The Altoona Regional Health Services (ARHS) is a large 100+ physician and 65+ APP practice with cardiology, medical oncology, neurology, pulmonology, dermatology, internal medicine, family practice, urology, ENT and plastic surgery. The Community - Altoona is a small city surrounded by mountains in central Pennsylvania with major northeast metropolitan areas within a 2 5 hour drive- Altoona Metro/Blair County Population: 130,000- Hospital Service Area Population: 350,000- Trauma Service Area Population: 1 million+ (20 counties)- Local air and train service available- Penn State University/State College only 40 minutes away- Our region offers a friendly and uncomplicated way of life filled with cultural and recreational opportunities, where children can grow up in a safe and enriching community.
